A wholesale and distribution marketing agency helps a distributor, stockist or trading house open new dealer and retailer accounts beyond its current territory, and grow the orders it already gets from existing accounts. Tessmont builds that system and reports it in Command as trade inquiries and new accounts opened, region by region.
How does a new retailer or dealer find a distributor?
Trade buyers find suppliers through other traders, sales representatives, B2B marketplaces, WhatsApp groups and, increasingly, a search for the brand or product plus their city. When a dealer outside your network searches, they need to see quickly that you carry the range, serve their area and trade on terms they can work with.
The approach is to give each principal brand or product category a clear page that states the range, the regions served, the minimum order and how to open an account, and to make those pages easy to find in the places trade buyers look. The hypothesis the first review tests is whether stating terms openly brings more account applications from the right kind of outlet.
Why do orders go to a faster supplier?
A retailer who asks for a price list or a stock position usually asks more than one supplier at the same time. When the answer takes until the next day, the order has often been placed.
The work sets up a fast answer route, usually WhatsApp Business with a current price list, stock categories and a named person for each region, and measures the time to first reply in Command. It is one of the simplest changes to test and one of the easiest to measure.
How do I get more from accounts I already have?
Most distributors know their existing accounts buy only part of the range. Those accounts are rarely asked to try more, because sales visits focus on the regular order.
The plan introduces a simple program for existing accounts: range updates, new-line introductions, seasonal reminders and reorder prompts, sent to consented contacts and tied to the products each account does not yet buy. Command then shows whether wider orders follow.
What would the monthly report show?
Trade inquiries by region, new accounts opened, the cost of each new account, and, where your order data allows it, the change in range bought by existing accounts. Regions are reported separately so expansion decisions rest on the same figures as marketing.
What the first ten days produce
- List the principal brands and categories to lead with, and the regions where new accounts are wanted first.
- Set up a fast reply route for price and stock questions and start recording time to first reply.
- Pick a group of existing accounts, note which parts of the range each does not buy, and draft the first range introduction.
Can you work within a principal's brand rules?
Yes. Where a manufacturer controls how its products are shown, the pages and messages follow those rules, and anything using the principal's brand is shared for their approval where the agreement requires it.
Do you work with import-export houses and commodity traders?
Yes. For traders the unit becomes buyer and supplier inquiries by product and market, and the pages lead with origin, specifications, documentation and shipping terms.
Should we be on B2B marketplaces?
Sometimes. The first review compares marketplace inquiries with direct ones on how many become accounts, and the effort goes where accounts are opened.
