Marketing agency for pharmacies and chemists: a growth system for local refill and delivery orders
Pharmacy customers choose the chemist that is open, close by and able to confirm stock quickly, and many buy the same items every month. A good month for a pharmacy is one where more of those regular orders come straight to the store by phone or WhatsApp and arrive on time.
Who buys
Two kinds of order reach a chemist. The first is urgent: someone needs an item tonight and searches for the nearest store that is open. The second is regular: a household reorders the same items every month, often for an older family member, and values a store that confirms stock and delivers without a trip. Both buyers decide on practical grounds such as hours, distance, stock answers and delivery. Marketing here is about being found and being easy to reorder from, never about what any product does.
What a good month looks like
A good month has an accurate listing that shows the store as open whenever it is, calls and WhatsApp messages answered by a named staff member, and a growing list of households that reorder on a set date with their consent. Command reports order messages and calls, completed deliveries, repeat orders and cost per order. These are marketing measures only; the reports say nothing about health or treatment.
The two channels that matter
- Google Business Profile with exact hours. Urgent buyers choose the store the map shows as open. Correct late-night and holiday hours, the delivery area and a call button decide whether the store is chosen at all.
- WhatsApp reorder line. Regular households prefer to send one message than to visit. A reorder reminder sent only to customers who asked for one, and answered by the pharmacist on duty, keeps the order with the store.
The first thing we test
The hypothesis we test first is that the store's listed hours are wrong or missing for evenings and holidays, so urgent searches send buyers to another chemist. We correct the hours and read whether calls in those hours rise.
