A retail marketing agency grows the orders, store visits and repeat purchases a brand earns through its own channels, not only through marketplaces. At Tessmont the work starts with one shared count of orders by channel, so store and online teams agree on what worked. Retail has no verified Tessmont result yet, so this page sets out the approach and the hypotheses we test first.
Why does the marketplace sell more than my own store?
Marketplaces bring buyers who are ready to purchase, and they charge for it through commissions, ad fees and control of the customer. A brand's own website and store keep the margin and the relationship, but they need their own reasons for a buyer to come.
Our first hypothesis is that the brand's own channel lacks one of three things: a reason to buy there rather than on the marketplace, a fast checkout on a phone, or a way to reach the buyer again. We test each in turn and measure orders by channel, so a sale that moves from the marketplace to the brand's site is counted as a move, not as new growth.
How do I get a second purchase?
A launch plan often ends at the first order. The buyer who liked the product is never asked back, and the next campaign pays again to find someone new.
We plan the second purchase before the launch: what to offer, when to ask, and on which channel the buyer agreed to hear from the brand, whether WhatsApp, email or text message. Command reports repeat buyers by the month of their first purchase, so the effect of each change shows in the group it touched.
My store and online teams report different numbers. Which one is right?
Often both, counted differently. The store counts footfall and bills, the online team counts visits and orders, and each ad platform claims the same sale. Nobody can say which spend worked.
Before spending more, we agree one count with you: orders by channel, store-visit inquiries, cost per order and repeat buyers. The definitions are written down at the start and never changed quietly, so a month is always compared with a month counted the same way.
How do online ads bring people into a store?
Local shoppers often check a store online before visiting: hours, stock, price and directions. Those checks leave signals that can be counted, such as calls from the Google listing, direction requests and WhatsApp questions about a product.
We treat these as store-visit inquiries and report them by store. They are not sales, and the report says so. Where the store's billing system can record how a buyer heard of the store, we add that count beside them.
What the first ten days produce
- One written definition of orders, store-visit inquiries, cost per order and repeat buyers, agreed with your store and online teams.
- A step-by-step check of the path from a phone ad to a paid order on your own site, with every step that loses buyers noted.
- Three hypotheses to test first, each with the measure it should move and the date we read it.
How do you price?
Every engagement is scoped in writing before you pay anything, and the range is on our pricing page.
Should we leave the marketplaces?
Not as a first step. Marketplaces can stay a source of orders while the brand's own channel is built up; the aim is a mix where the cost of each order is known by channel.
Is this for single stores, online-only brands, or both?
Both. An online-only brand is measured in orders and repeat buyers, a single store in store-visit inquiries and repeat buyers, and a brand with both in all four measures.
Do you manage creators and influencers?
We plan and brief creator work, and each creator gets a separate link or code so orders are counted by creator rather than by views.
What do you need from us?
Access to your website, ad accounts and Google listings, a monthly export of orders by channel, and one person each from the store and online sides who can answer questions within a day.
How soon can we read results?
Checkout fixes can show in orders within weeks; repeat-purchase work needs at least one buying cycle before it can be judged, and each report says which changes are old enough to read.
