Government, Public Sector, Non-profit & Community

Growth here is measured in supporters, sign-ups and funds raised.

The three places growth usually leaks in public & non-profit

  1. The work is real, but its results are not visible to supporters.
  2. Donors give once and never hear what happened next.
  3. Reports to funders take staff time that could go to the program.

These are the first things we test, not findings about your business.

A public sector and non-profit marketing agency helps a charity, foundation, association, cultural institution or public program show supporters what their support achieved, so they sign up, give again and stay involved. Tessmont builds that system and reports it in Command as supporters, sign-ups and funds raised, campaign by campaign.

How do I show supporters and funders what their money did?

Most organizations do real work that supporters never see. Updates are occasional, written for funders rather than donors, and often arrive long after the gift.

The approach turns the program records the organization already keeps into regular, plain updates: what was done, where, for whom, and what comes next. Every figure published comes from the organization's own records, with the period stated, and nothing is claimed that the program team cannot support. The hypothesis the first review tests is whether supporters who receive regular updates give again more often than those who do not.

Why do donors give once and disappear?

A first gift is often a response to a single appeal. Without a thank-you that arrives quickly, a follow-up that shows the gift at work and a clear invitation to stay involved, the relationship ends there.

The work sets up a supporter journey: a prompt thank-you, a first update, an invitation to give monthly, volunteer or attend, and a record in Command of each supporter's history. Tax receipts and any tax benefit statements are issued only as the organization's registrations permit and as its finance team confirms.

Can reporting to funders take less staff time?

Funder and board reports are often assembled by hand each quarter from several spreadsheets, which takes program staff away from the program.

When supporter updates and funder reports draw from the same records, much of the assembly happens once. Command holds sign-ups, donations and campaign results in one place, and the program team adds the program facts. The organization reviews every report before it is sent.

Does this work for public bodies, associations and campaigns?

The structure fits government departments, public health and civic programs, trade associations, clubs, cultural institutions and co-operatives, with the unit changed to sign-ups, members, registrations or attendance. Public-sector and campaign communication often carries approval, procurement and election-period rules; the plan works inside the rules the organization confirms, and Tessmont does not produce content that misrepresents opponents, facts or public data.

What the first ten days produce

  1. List the program records the organization already keeps and agree which facts can be shared publicly, with their period.
  2. Set up a prompt thank-you and a first update for new supporters, using consented contacts only.
  3. Set Command to report sign-ups, donations and cost per supporter by campaign, from one set of records.

Can you run fundraising campaigns?

Yes, within the organization's registrations and the rules of each platform. The organization remains the recipient of every donation and approves every appeal.

Do you work with CSR programs and foundations?

Yes. For CSR teams the focus is usually on showing program results to employees, partners and the public, drawn from the program's own records.

Can you work with religious or community organizations?

Yes. The unit becomes members, volunteers, attendance or contributions, and communication follows the organization's own guidelines.

Do you publish impact figures?

Only figures from the organization's own records, with the period and source stated, and reviewed by the program team before publication.
